Paris Regional Health Introduces New Autonomous Cleaning Robot, “Sir Mops-a-Lot”

Paris Regional Health has officially welcomed Sir Mops-a-Lot, a new autonomous floor-cleaning robot that helps keep floors clean throughout the hospital. The robot’s name was selected by PRH team members through a recent naming contest.

 Sir Mops-a-Lot uses autonomous technology to clean large floor areas throughout the hospital. By assisting with routine floor care, the robot allows Environmental Services team members to focus on detailed cleaning and other important responsibilities that support patients, visitors and staff.

 “Our Environmental Services team plays a critical role in creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors,” said Chris Boukas, Chief Operating Officer of Paris Regional Health. “Sir Mops-a-Lot is a fun addition to the team, but it also represents our ongoing commitment to finding innovative ways to support our staff and enhance our operations. Seeing our team choose the name made the introduction even more special.”

 The naming contest gave team members an opportunity to participate in welcoming the robot to PRH, resulting in the winning entry, Sir Mops-a-Lot, a playful nod to the robot’s role in helping keep hospital floors clean and supporting a safe, welcoming environment throughout the facility.

More than just a new piece of technology, Sir Mops-a-Lot helps support the work of our Environmental Services team by assisting with routine floor cleaning. This added support allows team members to spend more time on the detailed work that supports patient care and the overall hospital experience.
