Paris Regional Health Names Doug Holzbog Chief Executive Officer

Holzbog is an experienced health care executive who currently serves as market CEO for three Texas hospitals. His appointment also marks a return to Paris Regional, where he previously served as executive director of network development from 2019 to 2022.

He returns with broader operational and executive leadership experience, and we are confident he is well positioned to work alongside our employees, providers and community partners to build on the strong foundation already in place.”

Holzbog brings extensive health care leadership experience spanning hospital operations, physician operations, network development and executive leadership. He has held a variety of leadership roles throughout his career, building broad experience across hospital and physician operations. His familiarity with Paris Regional and the community, combined with the leadership experience he has gained since his time here, positions him well to lead the hospital into its next chapter.

Holzbog succeeds longtime CEO Steve Hyde, who retired in June following nearly a decade of service to Paris Regional and a career spanning more than 40 years in health care.

Josh Bray, chair of the Paris Regional Health Board of Trustees, said Holzbog’s previous experience with the hospital provides an important foundation as he returns in this new capacity.

“Doug already understands Paris Regional and the community we are privileged to serve, and we are excited to welcome him back,” Bray said. “The board looks forward to working with him as we continue strengthening our hospital, supporting our providers and employees and ensuring Paris Regional remains a trusted health care resource for our community.”

Holzbog will begin his new role Aug. 31.
