Chris Boukas named Chief Operating Officer of Paris Regional Health

Paris Regional Health announced that Chris Boukas, RN, MBA, FACHE, has been named Chief Operating Officer of Paris Regional Health, effective December 15, 2025. Boukas joins Paris Regional Health from Catholic Health – St. Catherine of Siena Hospital in Smithtown, New York, where he served as Chief Operating Officer.

“We are so excited to have Boukas step into this important leadership role,” said Steve Hyde, chief executive officer (CEO) of Paris Regional Health. “He is an exemplary leader with a tremendous depth of operational, clinical and financial experience. His commitment to patients, physicians, employees and the community is evident, and I know he will help us further advance our mission of making communities healthier.”

As Chief Operating Officer of St. Catherine of Siena Hospital, Boukas oversaw daily operations for multiple clinical and support departments.

Prior to his role at St. Catherine of Siena Hospital, Boukas spent several years with Northwell Health, serving as Senior Director of Operations at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in Great Neck, New York, Senior Administrative Director for the Medicine Service Line, and in other progressive leadership roles. He also served as Regional Director of Operations for Advantage Care Physicians in Brooklyn and Long Island and held multiple operational leadership positions within the North Shore–LIJ Health System.

I look forward to building on the strong foundation already in place and working with the leadership team to continue improving the health and well-being of our community.”

Boukas holds a Master of Business Administration in Health Services Management from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland in Baltimore, and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), a Registered Nurse in New York State, a FEMA-certified Emergency Manager, and the recipient of numerous honors, including multiple Lantern Awards and a Northwell Health President’s Award nomination for teamwork.
